The Moose Jaw Warriors have received 17 year old defensemen, Dallas Ehrhardt from the Wheat Kings along with a 1st round draft pick (2010) and two 2nd round picks (2010 & 2011).

"It's a difficult day to see Travis leave this organization, but we felt that getting a defensemen that could help us out right now would be our best option," commented Warriors Director of Hockey Operations, Jeff Truitt. "The draft picks are very important to us and receiving a 1st and two 2nd round picks is a major benefit," added Truitt.

Hamonic joined the Warriors in 2006. As a 2nd round draft pick of the New York Islanders, Hamonic has spent four years in the Friendly City- becoming captain for his final season with the tribe.

The Warriors would like to wish Travis all the best in the remainder of the season and in all his future hockey endeavors.
