Calgary Hitmen Swing Trade Deadline Deal With Kamloops Blazers

Calgary, AB - Calgary Hitmen General Manager Kelly Kisio announced today in advance of the WHL Trade Deadline a five player deal with the Kamloops Blazers.

The Hitmen acquire 19 year-old right winger Tyler Shattock, 18 year-old centre Jimmy Bubnick and 19 year-old defenceman Zak Stebner in exchange for 18 year-old centre Chase Schaber and 17 year-old defenceman Austin Madaisky.

Shattock, a St. Louis Blues prospect currently leads the Blazers in scoring with 50 points (22g 28a) in 42 games.

Bubnick, an Atlanta Thrashers prospect is third in Blazers scoring with 40 points (17g 23a) while Stebner, a 6'3" 205 pound blueliner has 18 points (7g 11a).

"This is a very tough of time of year," said Kisio. "To acquire players of this caliber we have to give up high quality players and people. We would like to thank Austin and Chase for their time in Calgary and wish them well in Kamloops."
