Cougars Land Defenceman Senkerik From Kootenay

Prince George, BC - Prince George Cougars General Manager Dallas Thompson announced Sunday the Cougars have acquired 18-year old import defenceman Petr Senkerik from the Kootenay Ice. The Ice get the Cougars fifth round pick in the 2011 WHL Bantam Draft in return.

Senkerik, a 5'11", 178 pounder from Zlin, Czech Republic, is in his first season in the Western Hockey League. In 36 games for Kootenay this season, Senkerik has four goals and seven assists, while posting 13 penalty minutes.
