
Giants Deal With Oil Kings And Hurricanes

Vancouver Giants General Manager Scott Bonner today announced the acquisition of Thomas Vincour and Brett Breitkreuz from the Edmonton Oil Kings., and Brent Henke from the Lethbridge Hurricanes In exchange, The Giants send Garry Nunn, Mike Piluso and Sebastian Svendsen, along with a 3rd round Bantam Draft pick in 2011 and a 5th round pick in 2010 to Edmonton. The Hurricanes acquire the Giants 5th round Bantam Draft pick in 2011.
Vincour, born on November 19, 1990 is a 6'2, 204 pound right winger who has 17 goals, 9 assists, 26 points and 31 penalty minutes in 33 games with Edmonton this year.
Left wing forward Breitkreuz, born April 6, 1989, is 6'2, 211 pounds and in 39 games he has played for the Oil Kings this season Breitkreuz has 10 goals, 9 assists, 19 points and 105 penalty minutes.
Henke a right wing was born March 12, 1990 and is 6'3'' 210 pounds. He has 7 goals and 13 points with the Hurricanes this season to go along with 26 penalty minutes.
Bonner says "We thank Sebastian, and especially Mike and Garry for their time with the Giants we wish them the best in Edmonton. We feel this trade will make us a better team, adding to our scoring depth and size up front. It will make us a more difficult team to play against, especially on the road where will spend most of our time the rest of the season"
Henke, Vincour and Breitkreuz will join the Giants in Vancouver when the team returns from their Alberta road trip, they will play their first game with the Giants in Prince George on Friday January 15th, 2010.
