
Bakersfield Avenges Earlier Loss to Ice Dogs

Bakersfield Condors News Release
The Condors scored four times in the span of seven minutes between the first and second periods, and went on to win their sixth straight hockey game, 4-1 over the Ice Dogs on Saturday night. Jimmy Drolet netted his first goal of the season, while on the power play in the last minute of play during the opening frame to make it 1-0 Bakersfield. Jason Ralph then scored a shorthanded goal and a power play goal early in the second period for his second multi-goal game of the season. Paul Rosebush scored his second goal of the season to make it 4-0. Kevin St. Pierre turned aside 33 of 34 Ice Dogs shots for his league-leading ninth win of the season.
This Week
The Condors head out on the road for a pair of games on Wednesday and Friday. Wednesday night's game takes place in Long Beach and on Friday they take on the San Diego Gulls. Both games start at 7:00pm. All Condors games, home and away, can be heard on KGEO AM 1230, with "Condors Countdown" starting 15 minutes prior to face off.
They return to Centennial Garden for a Saturday matchup against Long Beach, on Teddy Bear Toss Night, starting at 7:00pm. CBS-29, KERN 1410 and Home & Leisure Superstore sponsor the Teddy Bear Toss. Fans are encouraged to bring a stuffed animal to the game and, when the Condors score their first goal of the night, throw them onto the ice. The teddy bears will be collected by the United Way of Kern County, and donated to children throughout the Bakersfield area for the holidays.
The Condors head right out on the road again the following day for a game in Long Beach. Game time is 4:00pm and can be heard on KGEO AM 1230. Individual tickets can be purchased at the Centennial Garden Box Office, by calling Ticketmaster at 322-2525, online at ticketmaster.com or stopping by any Ticketmaster location. Season and group tickets may be purchased by calling 324-PUCK (7825) or by visiting the Condors office next to Centennial Garden.
Notes
· The Condors moved up to #10 on the www.inthecrease.com âAA' power rankings. They were ranked #16 the previous week.
· Jason Ralph surpassed his goal total from last season with two goals on Saturday night against Long Beach. He is currently tied for the team lead (with Jamie Cooke) with seven goals.
· Jimmy Drolet and Paul Willett have each recorded five points during four-game scoring streaks. Drolet has 1g-4a and Willett has 5a during the stretch.
· Kevin St. Pierre has allowed one goal in a game on five occasions, and four times in his last six games. He currently leads the league in wins, goals against average and save percentage.
· The Condors have five defensemen among the top 11 point totals for blueliners in the league. Drolet leads the way with 7pts (1g-6a).
· Jamie Cooke and Jason Ralph are tied for the league lead with two shorthanded goals on the season.
· Bakersfield is tied with Fresno for the league lead with four team shorthanded goals. The Condors are the only team that hasn't allowed a shorthanded goal this season.
· The Condors have had their highest attendance mark for the season broken on successive home games. Three of their eight home dates have drawn over 6,000 fans, with Saturday's total of 6,857.
