
Royals Win Three in a Row

Reading Royals News Release
The Reading Royals rebounded from a tough week last week to go 3-0-0 this week and jump two games above .500. Reading broke a three game slide last Tuesday in Atlantic City 7-1. Friday and Saturday the Royals returned home to win a pair of games over the South Carolina Stingrays.
The Royals have a busy turkey week hosting Roanoke and Atlantic City on Tuesday and Friday night, respectively. Thanksgiving Day the Royals will battle the Roanoke Express while Saturday Reading is on the road in Wheeling. The Royals to date have played more games than any other East Coast Hockey League team.

Tuesday, November 26 vs Roanoke Roanoke Express 7:05PM
GAME NOTES: The Royals and Roanoke Express meet for the first of two games this week. Reading posted a 1-4-0 mark last season vs Roanoke. The Royals only win came on the road in the Roanoke Civic Center. The second meeting between these two teams will be on Thanksgiving in Roanoke.

GAME NOTES: Reading and Roanoke will meet a total of eight times this season with each team hosting four games. This is the second of a mid week home and home series. The game marks the first Thanksgiving Day contest in Royals history.
Friday, November 29 vs. Atlantic City Sovereign Center 7:05PM
GAME NOTES: The fifth meeting between Reading and Atlantic City. The road team is a perfect 2-0 in this nine game season series. The Royals won the last outing Tuesday October 19 in Boardwalk Hall 7-1. Tom Rouleau led the way with a natural hat trick.
Saturday, November 30 @ Wheeling Wheeling Civic Center 7:30PM
GAME NOTES: This is the fourth meeting of six this season. The Royals have won all three games this season to improve to 6-3-1 all-time against the Nailers. Reading has won two of those three games in the Sovereign Center. The Nailers are 5-4-1 at home this season.

Tuesday, November 19 @ Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies 7:35PM
GAME NOTES: The Reading Royals evened the season series against the Bullies two games apiece. Reading exploded on Atlantic City winning 7-1 in Boardwalk Hall. Tom Rouleau led the way with a natural hat trick. Brandon Dietrich and Brian McCullough each had a goal and an assist in the win. The road team has won each game so far in this season series.
Friday, November 22 vs. South Carolina Sovereign Center 7:05PM
GAME NOTES: Reading evened the score against South Carolina after nearly a year. The Royals met the Stingrays just once last year in South Carolina and lost in a shootout 4-3. Last Friday, Reading won 5-3. Brad Rooney (1g, 2a), Brandon Dietrich (3a) and Brian McCullough (1g, 1a) led the way for Reading in the win.
Saturday, November 23 vs. South Carolina Sovereign Center 7:05PM
GAME NOTES: The Royals capped off a perfect week with a win at home on the back of Scott Fankhouser who stopped 39 shots in a 5-2 Reading win. Newest Royal Colin Pepperall picked up his second goal in his second game, which proved to be the game winner. Scott Fankhouser stopped 17 shots in the third period to pick up his tenth victory of the season.
ROYALS PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINEE:
#10 Forward â Brandon Dietrich 3GP â 2g, 5a 7pts/ +3 - Tallied Royals second shorthanded tally in 2002
Dietrich recently moved to the center position and posted his biggest week of the season. Tuesday in Atlantic City, Dietrich scored a Gordie Howe hat trick with a goal an assist and a fight. Friday and Saturday against South Carolina Dietrich tallied a goal and four assists to lead his team to a 3-0-0 week.

Scott Fankhouser played solid hockey this week to help the Royals move into a second place tie in the Northeast Division. Fankhouser picked up victories 8, 9 and 10 on the season, stopping 91 of 97 shots. He ranks in the top five in several categories of ECHL goaltenders including: wins (10-T2), minutes played (926-3rd) and saves (451-3rd).
