Richardson Named Player of Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Louisiana center Bruce Richardson is the InGlasCo East Coast Hockey League Player of the Week for November 18-24.

Richardson scored six goals and 10 points as Louisiana went 3-0-1 and moved into second place in the Southwest Division.

The 25-year-old Richardson scored four goals and had an assist in Louisiana's 7-3 win over Columbus on Saturday. Richardson, who had scored two goals twice in his career but never a hat trick, had two power-play goals, a shorthand goal and an even-strength goal while his assist came on a power-play goal. He had two goals and an assist in the IceGators 7-6 overtime loss to Columbus on Sunday, and two assists in a 3-2 win against Baton Rouge on Friday.

Richardson leads Louisiana and is tied for fifth in the ECHL with 26 points. He leads the IceGators in plus-minus (+12) and is second on the team with 11 goals. His five power-play goals tie him for second on the team while he ranks third with 15 assists.

On behalf of Bruce Richardson, a case of pucks will be donated to a Lafayette area youth hockey organization by InGlasCo.
