4th Annual Teddy Bear Toss this Weekend

Upcoming week of November 25th - December 1st:

· Monday, November 25th - Condors Assistant General Manager Chris Freshour will be attending the United Way of Kern County's Marketing meeting today from 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm. The United Way is located at 5405 Stockdale Highway.

· Wednesday, November 27th - Condors Director of Community Relations John Ayre will visit Thorner Elementary School located at 5501 Thorner Street to award students for their academic achievements as part of the Condors Turn Hockey Into New Knowledge (THINK) program, sponsored by 101.5 KGFM, ARRC Technology, and Paramount Farms. Local police officers and firefighters will be joining the Condors from 8:00 am - 9:00 am.

· Wednesday, November 27th - Condors winger Jamie Cooke along with Condors legend Glen Mears will be on CBS 29 news at 5:00 pm as well as Cal, the Baby Condor to discuss this Saturday's Teddy Bear Toss.

· Saturday, November 30th - Join the Condors as they host the Long Beach Ice Dogs for CBS 29, KERN 1410, and Home & Leisure Superstore's Teddy Bear Toss. All fans are encouraged to bring a teddy bear, or other stuffed animal, to be thrown onto the ice when the Condors score their first goal of the game. The teddy bears will be collected and donated to less-fortunate children through the United Way of Kern County. The night is also the first Big Buddies Night of the season. Underprivileged children will be given the opportunity to attend the game for free thanks to local organizations and the Active 20/30 Club. Single-game tickets are available through the Centennial Garden Box Office, which opens at 10:00am Monday through Saturday. Tickets may also be purchased by phone through Ticketmaster at 322-2525, online at www.ticketmaster.com or at any Ticketmaster location. Season tickets and group outings may be purchased by calling 324-PUCK (7825), or by visiting the Condors office at Centennial Garden. The doors open at 6:00 pm with the puck drop at 7:00 pm.

Week in Review, November 18th - November 24th:

· Saturday, November 23rd - Bakersfield Condors own President & General Manager Matthew Riley, Director of Team Operations Deric Voelker, and Account Executive Jose Rivera, showed off their flag football skills in the "When Pigskins Fly" Flag Football Tournament presented by Optimal Hospice Foundation. The Condors finished 3-2 while advancing into the third round of play.

· Saturday, November 23rd - The Condors skated to a 4-1 victory over the Long Beach Ice Dogs in KGET-TV 17, Bakersfield Mitsubishi and Golden State Motors Backpack Giveaway. The first 2,000 children, 12 & under, received a Condors backpack. Twenty-five turkeys were collected, as the Condors and KLLY 95.3 had a Turkey Shoot for the Bakersfield Homeless Shelter. Five fans were chosen to come on the ice during the first intermission to bowl their turkey into the net from the blue line. First prize was a Condors Commemorative Thanksgiving Game Jersey, signed by Miles Standish, PLUS the winner participated in the Human Slingshot contest.

Condors Dropping

· This week's Coach's Show is taking to the road with a special Wednesday edition starting at 6:00 pm just before the Condors take on the Long Beach Ice Dogs on KGEO AM 1230.

· This month's website auction will feature the chance to have a sit down question and answer session with your favorite Condors player. A transcript of your Q & A session will be printed in the Condors Nightly Notes for one game, you'll receive two tickets to the selected game and an autographed Nightly Notes. Log onto www.bakersfieldcondors.com to place your bid. Proceeds go to benefit the American Red Cross – Kern County Chapter.

· Don't forget to sign your children up for the 2002-2003 Colonel Claw'd's Kids Club, sponsored by Time Warner Cable, The Bakersfield Californian, and John's Incredible Pizza Company. · Pre-event collections have started for the Condors "Gotta Have Sole" Shoe Collection sponsored by Tel-Tec and KGEO AM 1230. Fans can take new or slightly used shoes to Tel-Tec Security Systems located at 5020 Lisa Marie Court and receive one free terrace ticket to the December 3rd game against the San Diego Gulls. Shoes will also be accepted at the Condors Closet located across the street from Centennial Garden at 1022 Truxtun, Monday - Friday 10:00 am - 6:00 pm, and Saturdays from 11:00 am - 5:00pm
