
Mississippi Splits Four Games in Week Seven

Mississippi Sea Wolves News Release
BILOXI, Miss. â The Mississippi Sea Wolves completed week 7, posting a 2-2-0 record. Louisiana slipped past the Sea Wolves 2-1 on Tuesday at the Wolves Den. Mississippi bounced back at home by beating Columbus 4-3 on Friday, downed the Bandits 5-3 at Jackson, but finished the week dropping a 3-1 decision at home against Baton Rouge.
The Sea Wolves overall record sits at 11-6-2, for a total of 24 points and third place in the Southwest Division. At home, the Sea Wolves have posted a record of 7-5-1. While, the road record for Mississippi stands at 4-1-1.

Notables: Game 5 in the battle for the Nextel Cup. Sea Wolves lead the season series, 7 points to 2. Mississippi took the last game on Saturday, 5-3 at Jackson. The Sea Wolves are 1-1 at Jackson, and 2-0 at the Wolves Den.
Dave Paradise leads the Sea Wolves against the Bandits, with four goals and four assists in the four games.
Jeff Bes, formerly with the Sea Wolves, is tops for Jackson with three goals and a helper versus Mississippi.
Thursday, Nov. 28 vs. Baton Rouge Kingfish â 7:05 p.m. - Mississippi Coast Coliseum
Notables: Game 5 of the Coca-Cola Cup. Sea Wolves lead series, 6 points to 2. Baton Rouge beat the Sea Wolves, 3-1 on Sunday at the Wolves Den. Mississippi is 1-1 at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum against the Kingfish this season, and 2-0 at Baton Rouge.
Steffon Walby leads the way offensively against Baton Rouge, with two goals and six assists.
Five Kingfish players have three points each in the four games against Mississippi. Bryan Richardson is on top with three goals. Ryan Trsek and Trevor Demmans lead the assists department, with three assists each.
Friday, Nov. 29 at Louisiana IceGators â 7:05 p.m. â Cajundome, Lafayette
Louisiana leads the season series 3-1. The IceGators defeated Mississippi on Tuesday, 2-1 at the Wolves Den. The only meeting at the Cajundome this season, ended 4-2 in favor of the IceGators.
Steffon Walby has two goals and four assists for a total of six points against the Gators this season. Shawn McNeil has scored five goals and added three assists in the games against Mississippi.
Saturday, Nov. 30 vs. Louisiana IceGators â 7:35 p.m. â Mississippi Coast Coliseum
It's Game 6 of 12 in the head-to-head meetings. Louisiana has won two of the three games at the Wolves Den, including the last meeting in Biloxi, 2-1 on November 19.
Player of the Week:
Forward Dave Paradise scored two goals and registered four assists over the week. The 6-foot, 190-pound native of St. Paul, Minnesota counted two goals and an assist on Friday in the win against Columbus. He collected three assists in the victory on Saturday at Jackson. Paradise didn't register a point on Tuesday in the loss against Louisiana and didn't dress for the loss on Sunday against Baton Rouge.
Goaltender of the Week:
Greg Gardner appeared in two games last week and picked up two more wins. Gardner improved his record to 10-4-2. The 6-foot, 190-pound netminder hailing from Mississauga, Ontario made 20 saves on Friday, in the 4-3 win against Columbus. On Saturday, Gardner backstopped the Sea Wolves to a 5-3 victory at Jackson, turning away 22 of 25 shots.

11/22 Add STEFFON WALBY (RW) activated off IR
11/22 Add MIKE RENZI (F) acquired in a trade with Dayton for future considerations
11/24 Delete DARRYL CAMPBELL (LW) placed on 7-day IR
Injured Reserve:
Defenseman Jason Crain and left wing Darryl Campbell were placed on the 7-day injured reserve last week. Goaltender Mike Buckley along with defensemen David Cornacchia and Steve Bewley remain on the 30-day IR.
Streaking Sea Wolves: Forward Dave Paradise has a 2-game point streak (2g-4a). Goaltender Greg Gardner has won two straight games.
