Ludwig Solid, Bullpen Falters Late to Snap 11 Game Win

August 31, 2016 - For the past eleven games, the River City Rascals have greeted each other on the field in celebration of a victory. However, the saying "All good things must come to an end," became true earlier than the Rascals hoped as they snapped their eleven game losing streak in the series opener to the Florence Freedom, 6-2, Tuesday night at UC Health Stadium. August 30, 2016 - ZEBULON, NC - Wilmington's Corey Ray struck out eight and held the Mudcats to just one run while falling one out shy of a complete game as the Blue Rocks won game one of Tuesday's doubleheader 9-1 at Five County Stadium in Zebulon. Ray (8-6, 4.36) held the Mudcats (47-86, 18-45) without a hit through the third and had faced just one over the minimum while striking out five over three scoreless. August 30, 2016 - Bowie, Md. - The Baysox snapped a season-high four game home winning streak with a 3-1 loss against Harrisburg Tuesday. Bowie was no match for Harrisburg starter Phillips Valdez, who pitched 7.2 innings and allowed just one run in the win.
