Blue Wahoos Announce Staff Promotions, Additions in Advance of 2026 Season
January 6, 2026 - PENSACOLA, FL - The Pensacola Blue Wahoos announced Tuesday a series of recent promotions and additions to their front office staff in advance of the 2026 season.
Anthony Aspenson, TJ Johnson and Brandon Miller have been promoted to Assistant General Manager, and will oversee day-to-day operations of the club. Dirty Birds Increase Attendance and Community Impact for 2025 Light the Night
January 6, 2026 - Charleston, WV -For the third year in a row the Salango Law Dirty Birds Light the Night presented by GoMart had an increase in attendance and community impact. The overall attendance for the six-week event was over 100,000 customers with the nightly average attendance being the highest recorded during the three-year event.

Equity Bank Park Named Professional Baseball Field of the Year
January 6, 2026 - Wichita KS - The Sports Field Management Association and Wichita Wind Surge have announced that Equity Bank Park, the home of the Wind Surge, has been named the 2025 Professional Baseball Field of the Year. The SFMA Field of the Year honor is awarded to the best natural grass field among all 120 teams across all levels of affiliated Minor League Baseball. Danny Mendick Named 2026 RiverDogs Manager
January 6, 2026 - Charleston, SC - The Charleston RiverDogs will have a new manager for the first time since 2023, as the Tampa Bay Rays have announced Danny Mendick as the club's skipper for 2026.
Mendick, 32, joined the Rays organization as a minor league coach in 2025 following a playing career that included six seasons in the big leagues.
