Holmberg Hurls Seven Strong in 6-4 Win

May 1, 2016 - BIRMINGHAM, AL - Birmingham Barons starter David Holmberg allowed just two runs over seven innings pitched, earning his first win in a Barons uniform against his former organization as Birmingham bested the Pensacola Blue Wahoos 6-4 at Regions Field. Barons catcher Jeremy Dowdy started the scoring for Birmingham, launching a fly ball past the left field fence to draw the home team even in the third inning. Tyler Pike (1-2) picked up his first win of the season and the Blaze grabbed their first sweep of the year by dropping the Inland Empire 66ers (5-19) at Sam Manuel Stadium on Sunday afternoon, 6-5. May 1, 2016 - Jackson, Tenn. - Tyler O'Neill crushed a three-run homer to straightaway centerfield in the first inning Sunday, giving the Generals an early lead en route to a 6-4 win over Mobile at The Ballpark at Jackson Sunday evening.
