December 1, 2025 - The Wichita Wind Surge announced their game times for the 2026 baseball season. The Surge will open the season at home on Thursday, April 2 against the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, the AA affiliate of the Kansas City Royals. First pitch at 6:35 pm. The 2026 home schedule will consist of 69 games taking place at Equity Bank Park. The schedule will be similar to recent seasons with most series beginning on a Tuesday and wrapping up on Sunday. October 9, 2025 - Wichita KS - Banana Ball is coming to Equity Bank Park in 2026! The global phenomenon, made famous by the Savannah Bananas, will stop in Wichita for three games on May 7,8, and 9, 2026. As revealed Thursday night during the 2026 Banana Ball City Selection Show, which aired on ESPN2, Wichita has been selected as a tour stop for the brand-new Banana Ball Championship League (BBCL). September 23, 2025 - WICHITA, Kansas - Minor League Baseball™ (MiLB™) today announced the league awards and All-Star team for the Double-A classification in Major League Baseball's player development system. The Wichita Wind Surge were well represented earning four spots on the Texas League Team. Kala'i Rosario, Kyler Fedko, Kaelen Culpepper, and Pierson Ohl all earned spots on the all-star team. September 14, 2025 - CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - Ben Ross hit a three-run home run in an 8-5 loss for the Wichita Wind Surge against the Corpus Christi Hooks at Whataburger Field. The Wind Surge 2025 season comes to an end, as they needed to win this game and for Tulsa to lose tonight to the Arkansas Travelers in order to clinch a playoff berth.
