October 16, 2025 - RENTON, WASH. - MLS NEXT Pro today announced that Sounders FC forward Osaze De Rosario has won the 2025 Pathway Player of the Year Award. The newly established award honors a player who demonstrated success at multiple levels of the pro player pathway in one season - excelling in two or more leagues across MLS NEXT, MLS NEXT Pro and MLS. Tacoma Defiance Mutually Terminates Contracts of Lars Helleren and Joonmo Kang

August 22, 2025 - RENTON, WASH. - Tacoma Defiance today announced that it has mutually terminated the contracts of goalkeeper Lars Helleren and midfielder Joonmo Kang. Helleren, who joined Tacoma prior to the 2024 season, is set to remain with the club as a Sounders FC Academy Goalkeeping Coach. Tacoma Defiance Parts Ways with Head Coach Hervé Diese

July 23, 2025 - RENTON, WASH. - Tacoma Defiance today announced that it has parted ways with Head Coach Hervé Diese, effective immediately. Veteran Sounders FC and Defiance assistant Michael Morris is taking over sideline duties while the search for the team's next Head Coach begins. Diese came to Sounders FC's MLS NEXT Pro side following the 2023 season as an Assistant Coach for CF Montréal. Tacoma Defiance Loans Ryan Baer to the Richmond Kickers

July 9, 2025 - RENTON, WASH. - Tacoma Defiance today announced that it has loaned midfielder Ryan Baer to USL League One side Richmond Kickers for the remainder of the 2025 campaign. Financial terms were not disclosed. Baer was drafted 28th overall by Seattle in the 2025 MLS SuperDraft and has made two appearances for Defiance this year in all competitions.
