August 22, 2025 - RENTON, WASH. - Tacoma Defiance today announced that it has mutually terminated the contracts of goalkeeper Lars Helleren and midfielder Joonmo Kang. Helleren, who joined Tacoma prior to the 2024 season, is set to remain with the club as a Sounders FC Academy Goalkeeping Coach. Tacoma Defiance Parts Ways with Head Coach Hervé Diese

July 23, 2025 - RENTON, WASH. - Tacoma Defiance today announced that it has parted ways with Head Coach Hervé Diese, effective immediately. Veteran Sounders FC and Defiance assistant Michael Morris is taking over sideline duties while the search for the team's next Head Coach begins. Diese came to Sounders FC's MLS NEXT Pro side following the 2023 season as an Assistant Coach for CF Montréal. Tacoma Defiance Loans Ryan Baer to the Richmond Kickers

July 9, 2025 - RENTON, WASH. - Tacoma Defiance today announced that it has loaned midfielder Ryan Baer to USL League One side Richmond Kickers for the remainder of the 2025 campaign. Financial terms were not disclosed. Baer was drafted 28th overall by Seattle in the 2025 MLS SuperDraft and has made two appearances for Defiance this year in all competitions. June 1, 2025 - TUKWILA, WASH. - Tacoma Defiance drew 1-1 with Minnesota United FC 2 on Saturday night at Starfire Stadium, winning the ensuing shootout to earn two points at home. Demian Alvarez scored the tying goal at the end of regulation, his first of the season, and bagged winning penalty strike in the contest.
