The club finished the year in third place in the Pacific Coast League's Pacific Northern Division, 16.0 games behind the division-winning Fresno Grizzlies (82-57). Tacoma Rainiers and Seattle Mariners Announce Four-Year Extension of Player Development Contract

September 13, 2018 - TACOMA, Wash. - Tacoma Rainiers Team President Aaron Artman and Seattle Mariners Director of Player Development Andy McKay today announced a four-year extension of their Player Development Contract that will run through the 2022 Pacific Coast League season. Rainiers Wrap Season With 5-4 Victory Over Chihuahuas

September 3, 2018 - EL PASO, Texas - The Tacoma Rainiers (66-73) closed out the 2018 season with a 5-4 victory over the El Paso Chihuahuas (82-57) on Monday afternoon at Southwest University Park. Designated hitter Cameron Rupp led the way for Tacoma on offense, driving in four of the Rainiers five runs on a 3-for-4 performance that included a three-run home run. September 2, 2018 - EL PASO, Texas - The Tacoma Rainiers (65-73) dropped the penultimate game of the 2019 season by a final score of 9-4 to the El Paso Chihuahuas (82-56) on Sunday evening at Southwest University Park. The Rainiers collected 12 hits and drew two walks in the five-run loss.
