Rainiers Doubled Up In 8-4 Series Opening Loss To River Cats

April 21, 2018 - TACOMA, Wash. - The Tacoma Rainiers (8-8) couldn't catch up to the Sacramento River Cats (7-9) and fell in the series opener, 8-4, on Saturday night at Cheney Stadium. Right fielder Cameron Perkins led the way on offense for Tacoma, going 3-for-5 with three singles and two runs scored. His was the only multi-hit effort in the Rainiers lineup, however first baseman Matt Hague drove in two RBI on a 1-for-3 night. April 20, 2018 - TACOMA, Wash. - The Tacoma Rainiers (8-6) collected their fourth straight win with a 1-0 shutout of the Albuquerque Isotopes (6-9) on Thursday night at Cheney Stadium. Starting pitcher Max Povse (1-2) gave the Rainiers 5.1 innings of scoreless work on 92 pitches (57 strikes). He allowed six hits and struck out three by the time he was lifted in the sixth inning. Herrmann's Career Night Leads Rainiers To 14-2 Rout Of Isotopes

April 19, 2018 - TACOMA, Wash. - A career-high seven RBI from catcher Chris Herrmann helped propel the Tacoma Rainiers (7-6) to a 14-2 rout of the Albuquerque Isotopes (6-8) on Wednesday night at Cheney Stadium. Herrmann collected his first grand slam in nearly five years as part of a 2-for-4, three-run, seven-RBI outburst that led the Rainiers offense. The seven RBI collected by Herrmann were a new career high, surpassing his previous single-game record of four RBI, set three times, most recently on April 23, 2016 against Pittsburgh. ...
