May 5, 2025 - KANSAS CITY, Kan. -The Kansas City Monarchs' arms were in midseason form in their opening
preseason exhibition.
Monarchs pitching combined for 15 strikeouts in a 6-1 win over the Winnipeg Goldeyes on Monday
night at Legends Field. Kansas City used seven different arms to stifle the Winnipeg lineup.
Monarchs' starter Daniel Martinez dominated. He used a mid-90s fastball to post six strikeouts across
three innings.

April 25, 2025 - KANSAS CITY, Kan. - A Triple-A arm with wipeout stuff has joined the Kansas City Monarchs'
pitching staff. Tyler McKay, a Kansas City area native, is joining the Monarchs from the Phillies
organization.
The former Kansas State Wildcat earned a 2.28 ERA in 2024, splitting the season between Double-A
Reading and Triple-A Lehigh Valley in the Phillies system.
The right-hander used his five-pitch mix to get plenty of swings and misses, tallying more than a
strikeout per inning across 43 appearances in 2024.

April 24, 2025 - KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Gluten-free concessions are returning to Kansas City Monarchs games in
2025 thanks to the team's partnership with Three Bears Bakery KC.
The bakery, which specializes in low-carb, sugar-free and gluten-free baked goods, will provide
gluten-free options for every Monarchs home game in 2025. This is the second year that the
Monarchs have offered gluten-free hot dog and hamburger buns, gluten-free pizza and other snacks.

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City (Blue KC).
