Comets Shine in MASL Awards, Vandegriffe Named Defender of the Year

April 15, 2025 - The Major Arena Soccer League has announced Kansas City Comets defender Chad Vandegriffe as the 2024-25 MASL Defender of the Year, headlining a group of four Comets players named to the All-MASL Teams. Vandegriffe also earned selections to the Elite Six and All-MASL First Team after leading the league with 81 blocks. April 6, 2025 - OCEANSIDE, CA - The Kansas City Comets' hopes of a Ron Newman Cup came to an end on Saturday evening after facing an 11-7 defeat in the neutral-site quarterfinal matchup against the Milwaukee Wave at Frontwave Arena. The Comets fought hard, but struggled to stop a Wave offense that was not going to be denied a spot in the Ron Newman Cup Semifinals. April 4, 2025 - The Kansas City Comets will begin their postseason journey in the Ron Newman Cup Quarterfinals with an opponent they've become extraordinarily familiar with over the years in the Milwaukee Wave. Saturday's playoff showdown will be the 22nd KC-MKE postseason meeting since 2010. KC holds an 11-10 advantage in postseason games and a 5-4 series edge against the Wave.
