August 25, 2025 - BASEBALL Appalachian League: The ownership of the Bristol State Liners, who represent the twin cities of Bristol (VA) and Bristol (TN) and play in the summer-collegiate Appy League operated by Major League Baseball and USA Baseball, has come to an agreement with the city of Bristol (VA) for a new multi-use stadium to be built for the team. August 24, 2025 - Juan Castillo blasted a three-run homer and Manuel Olivares tossed five scoreless innings as the Fresno Grizzlies (63-57, 34-20) capped off their road trip with a convincing 6-2 victory over the San Jose Giants (76-44, 34-20) at Excite Ballpark on Sunday evening in San Jose. Five-Run Fourth Propels Amarillo to Series Victory

August 24, 2025 - SAN ANTONIO, TX -- The Amarillo Sod Poodles (64-56) defeated the San Antonio Missions (58-62), 5-4, on Sunday evening at Nelson W. Wolff Stadium. Five runs in the fourth paced Amarillo to complete their sixth consecutive series victory, a new franchise record. Johnson Drives in Three in Rain-Shortened Win

August 24, 2025 - CURVE, Pa. - Termarr Johnson drove in three of Altoona's eight runs in an 8-6 win over the Reading Fightin Phils. The game was called in the top of the sixth inning because of inclement weather. Pirates outfielder Oneil Cruz drove in a pair of runs and drew two walks in four plate appearances in his second game of his major league rehab assignment with the Curve.
