Wranglers remain undefeated at home

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers posted a 3-0-0 record this week with victories over Fresno, Stockton and Victoria. Tuesday night, Las Vegas won at Fresno 2-1 in a shootout. Friday, the Wranglers beat the Stockton Thunder 3-2 at the Orleans Arena. Saturday, Las Vegas defeated Victoria 3-1 at home.

The Wranglers will host the Johnstown Chiefs on Tuesday at 7:05 pm. Las Vegas will travel to Phoenix for a game with the Roadrunners at 6:11 pm (PST) on Thursday night. Friday and Saturday night the Wranglers welcome the Idaho Steelheads to the Orleans Arena.

Las Vegas 2 at Fresno 1 SO

Fresno, CA - The Las Vegas Wranglers beat the Fresno Falcons 2-1 in a shootout at the Save Mart Center on Tuesday night. Wranglers' goalie Mike McKenna made 34 saves in regulation and stopped four of five in the shootout for the win. Center Chris Stanley scored the team's lone goal in regulation. Forward Matt Dzieduszycki and defenseman Tyler Sloan each scored in the shootout, ending the team's three-game losing streak.

Friday, November 25th

Stockton 2 at Las Vegas 3

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers beat the Stockton Thunder 3-2 in front of 6,444 fans at the Orleans Arena on Friday night. Las Vegas right wing Todd Alexander scored two power-play goals, including the game winner. Wranglers' goalie Mike McKenna held Stockton scoreless until the final 1:09 of the game, finishing with 19 saves. McKenna improved to 3-0-1 on the season. Center Matt Dzieduszycki also scored in the Las Vegas victory. Wranglers' defenseman Scott Schoneck had two assists in the game. The Wranglers improved to 6-0-0 at home this season.

Saturday, November 26th

Victoria 1 at Las Vegas 3

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers beat the Victoria Salmon Kings 3-1 in front of 4,539 fans at the Orleans Arena on Saturday night. Las Vegas right wing Darren Lynch scored two goals, including the game winner. Left wing Dan Tudin also assisted on all three Las Vegas goals. Wranglers' rookie Chris Neiszner scored his first professional goal in the Las Vegas victory. Wranglers' goaltender Marc Magliarditi picked up the team's third straight win with 19 saves. Magliarditi improved to 6-4-0 on the season.

This Week's Opponent-

Johnstown Chiefs - (4-7-4, 12 Points) - Las Vegas hosts Johnstown in the first ever meeting between the two teams. The Chiefs are the longest tenured team in the ECHL, heading into their 18th season. Former Wranglers' winger Justin Kelly leads the team in scoring with six goals and six assists for 12 points in eight games played. The Chiefs are 4-4-2 in their last 10 games and feature a 2-4-1 road record. Wranglers' Assistant General Manager / Assistant Coach Brent Bilodeau spent the last six seasons with the Chiefs as a player/assistant. Bilodeau is the team's all-time leader in game played.

Phoenix Roadrunners - (4-9-2, 10 Points) - The Roadrunners and Wranglers meet for the second time this season after Las Vegas defeated Phoenix 5-3 at the Orleans Arena on Friday, November 4th. The Wranglers are 1-0-0 all time against Phoenix. The Roadrunners will be without their leading scorer Corey Pecker, who was recalled to the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League. Phoenix is 3-5-2 at home this season and 1-7-2 in their last 10 games.

Idaho Steelheads - (12-3-1, 25 Points) - The Steelheads come to Las Vegas for the first of six meetings between the two teams. Idaho owns a three-point lead over Utah for first place in the West Division. The Steelheads are 12-5-2 against Las Vegas all-time. Former Wranglers' forward Garrett Bembridge leads the ECHL in scoring with 13 goals and 15 assists for 28 points in 16 games played. The Steelheads are led by first-year Coach Derek Laxdal.
