STORM NOTES

- Back on Track! Saturday night, the Toledo Storm ended a season high three game winless streak with a 3-2 overtime win over Dayton.

- Lang Explodes in Overtime! Defenseman Jeff Lang scored his first professional goal Saturday night, and did it in exciting fashion starting from his own blue line and ending with a roof shot over goaltender Mike Brown to end overtime.

- Shooting Gallery! The Storm continues to throw the pucks at opposing nets. Over the past weekend, Toledo had shot totals of 32, 56, and 43. The 56 shots on Saturday was a season high, and the most shots in a game for a Storm team since March 30, 2005 against Dayton (56). The most shots in a game by a Storm team came on January 3, 1998 against Huntington when Toledo registered 65 shots on goal.

- Power Play! The Storm has scored a power play goal in 11 straight games, and did have a 2-2 performance in Dayton Sunday. Toledo has 26 power play goals in 123 opportunities this season. The Storm rank 7th in the ECHL at 21.1%

- Penalty Kill! The Storm is ranked 16th in the league in kill percentage at 80.4%. Toledo has allowed 19 goals in 97 times shorthanded this year.

STORM WATCH

- The Toledo Storm Coach's Show is this Tuesday evening from 6-7pm at the Maumee Bay Brewing Company inside the Oliver House, Downtown Toledo. Head Coach Nick Vitucci and Storm forward Brad Bonello will join Matt Melzak for insight and conversation on the start of the 2005-06 season and what lies ahead for the Storm. The Storm Coach's Show can be heard live on Dominion 1520 JAMZ, which is the home of Toledo Storm Hockey.

- The Storm return to action this Friday night against the Wheeling Nailers. Toledo is 1-1-0 against the Nailers this season. The two rivals will play 13 times this season. Both teams have won the games in their own barn. The Nailers won 6-4 November 4th in Wheeling, and Toledo defeated Wheeling 3-0 at home on November 11th. In the two games, Toledo has out shot the Nailers 53-44. Logan Koopmans stopped all 23 shots he faced in the November 11th game. Scooter Smith (2g, 1a) and Ken Magowan (1g, 2a) lead Toledo in scoring against Wheeling.

- Saturday night the Storm head to Reading for a date against the Royals. Toledo is 1-0-1 against Reading this season. Toledo defeated Reading 2-1 on November 6th, and lost in overtime last Friday 3-2 at Reading. The Royals are the only team that has out shot the Storm overall this season, owning a 92-61 advantage. Logan Koopmans made 49 stops in the game last Friday to help Toledo to a point.

STORM PLAYER OF THE WEEK:

Bracken Kearns (3 goals - 0 assist = 3 points)

Bracken was electric in all three games and tallied two Sunday in Dayton.

STORM GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK:

Logan Koopmans (1-0-1, 2.31 gaa, 0.939 save%)

Logan set a career high with 49 saves Friday night in Reading.
