Fresno Falcons News Release

LAST WEEK'S RECORD: 1-0-2 OVERALL RECORD: 9-3-3, 21 pts., 1st Place Pacific Division

Nov. 22 vs. Las Vegas, 2-1 Shootout Loss - Despite out-shooting the Wranglers 35-27, Derek Krestanovich's lone goal in regulation was not enough to avoid the team's second loss to Las Vegas this season.

Nov. 26 @ Bakersfield, 4-3 Shootout Loss - After the Falcons spotted the Condors a 3-0 lead, John Wroblewski, J.F. Plourde, and P.O. Beaulieu each scored to pull Fresno even in under a 10 minute span of the second period. Although Fresno out-shot its opposition 6-2 in overtime for the second straight game, the club still suffered its second consecutive shootout loss.

Nov. 27 @ San Diego, 4-3 Overtime Win - Again the Falcons were forced to rally from behind. The team overcame two one-goal deficits in the third with Luke Curtin forcing overtime at 15:55. Fresno's leading scorer then tallied the game-winner at 3:08 of the extra session to snap the Falcons' two-game winless streak.

NOTES

. Curtin rebounded from having a team season-high eight-game point streak snapped on Saturday by scoring his ninth and 10th goals of the season on Sunday. He is currently tied for third in the league with 22 points (10g-12a), and his 10 goals rank him fifth across the ECHL.

. Prior to Sunday's overtime victory, the Falcons had played six straight overtime games that ended in a draw and required a shootout.

. The team's shootout loss to Bakersfield on Saturday was their first and still only blemish on an otherwise perfect record against their own division. Fresno is 8-0-1 against the Pacific this season.

. Fresno remains in first place in the Pacific Division with 21 points, three more than the second-place Long Beach Ice Dogs. The Falcons stand third in the National Conference behind the West Division's Idaho Steelheads and Utah Grizzlies.
