BOISE, Idaho - The Iowa Stars of the American Hockey League (AHL) today announced that D'Arcy McConvey has been reassigned to it's ECHL affiliate Idaho Steelheads. Both teams are affiliates of the National Hockey League's (NHL) Dallas Stars.

Head coach Derek Laxdal said today, "Any time you get your captain and leading scorer back, it's good for the team. He's had his first taste of the American Hockey League and he'll be striving to make the consistent jump up there."

McConvey was leading the team (and ECHL) in scoring when he was called up to AHL Iowa on November 17th with 20 points (7g, 13a). Though he has missed four games with Idaho while on reassignment to the AHL, he is still tied for fifth overall in scoring in the league. McConvey's linemate Garett Bembridge has since taken over as the ECHL's leading scorer tallying 28 points (13g, 15a).

The 5-10, 190-pound McConvey made his AHL debut on November 18th and ultimately skated in three games for the Stars, recording four penalty minutes.
