Stockton Thunder News Release

Saturday, December 3: @ Fresno Falcons, 7pm (PT) - The Stockton Thunder doesn't play again until Saturday. It may be a rest period well-needed, after playing strings of three consecutive games on three consecutive weeks. On a week before the grand opening of Stockton Arena for sports contests, the Thunder takes on the Fresno Falcons at Save Mart Center for the third time in just over a month.

Stockton is 0-1-1 this season against their highway-99 rivals, with the Thunder battling Fresno to a 3-2 shootout loss in the teams' last meeting on November 4. Aaron Foster and Mike Lalonde contributed with a goal each for Stockton, while goaltender Jeff Weber made 42 saves, a Thunder season high. Cory Murphy scored the game-winning tally for Fresno in the third round of a shootout.

The Thunder and Fresno first met on October 22, the first game in Stockton history, in a 4-3 Fresno win.

Saturday night's contest can be heard live on the internet (free-of-charge) and is available for viewing at a $6 "pay-per-view" fare at www.stocktonthunder.com, courtesy of B-2 Networks. Thunder broadcaster Mike Benton will provide play-by-play commentary, with the pre-game show beginning at 6:45pm (PT).
