CONDORS 2 vs. Long Beach 3 (OT)
Attendance: 6,319
Nick Economakos' first professional goal gave the Bakersfield Condors a 2-1 lead heading into the third period, but Long Beach answered twice including an overtime game-winner by Christian Larrivee to give the Condors a 3-2 loss in front of 6,319 fans at Rabobank Arena.

Saturday, November 26th

Attendance: 8,815
The third-largest crowd in team history saw Ryan Munce make 36 saves on 39 shots and stop all five shootout attempts as the Bakersfield Condors defeated the Fresno Falcons 4-3 in front of 8,815 fans for the Condors' Annual Teddy Bear Toss game.

Where we are
The Condors (5-5-4, 14 points) sit in fourth place in the Pacific Division, three points behind San Diego for third. Fresno leads the division at 9-3-3 with 21 points.

Condors Acquire Forward Joel Irving
On Tuesday, the Condors acquired forward Joel Irving from the South Carolina Stingrays in exchange for goaltender Davis Parley. Irving, 29, returned to South Carolina this season after stints with Sheffield of the UK's Elite League and Odessa of the CHL. The 6-foot-4 left winger played with the Stingrays from 2000-03 after a two-year stretch in Johnstown. In six ECHL seasons, the Lumsden, Saskatchewan native has 107 goals and 125 assists in 321 games. Irving contributed right away as he recorded a shootout goal in his first game with the Condors on Saturday night.

Notes from the Nest
-Over 3,500 schoolchildren attended the Tuesday morning game vs. Long Beach. The 10:30am start time allowed schools to bring their classes to the Arena and relate classroom subjects to the game of hockey.
-8,815 fans attended Saturday's game, coinciding with the team's 7th Annual Teddy Bear Toss. The game was the first sell-out of the season and the third sell-out in team history, as hundred of fans had to be turned away at the box office. It was the third-largest crowd in Condors history and the third-largest crowd in the ECHL this season. The Condors currently rank 2nd in the ECHL with an average attendance of 6,476.
-Kevin St. Jacques has scored a point in 8 of his last 9 games, and is on a three-game goal-scoring streak.
-The Condors penalty kill unit has not allowed an opposing power play goal in its last three games.
-Bakersfield has had a penchant for drama this season. In 14 games, the Condors have played past regulation and into overtime a league-leading eight times, including five out of six home games. In those games, Bakersfield has four wins and four losses. The Condors are 2-2 in shootouts, and 2-2 in games decided in overtime.
-The Condors are 4-0-3 at home this season, taking 11 of 14 possible points in that span.

Wednesday, November 30th, will be a busy night in Condorstown when the Condors skate against the Johnstown Chiefs. The team will play host to the annual Project Warm Families Coat Collection, sponsored by KGET-TV 17, News Radio 970 KGET and Barber Honda. All fans who donate a coat will receive $1 terrace-level ticket. Each fan in attendance will receive a commemorative Condors "Old Time Hockey" poster, featuring several Condors dressed as characters from the classic hockey film "Slap Shot." In addition, the Stanley Cup will be on display at the Rabobank Arena prior to and during the game. Fans bringing their own camera can have their picture taken with the Cup free of charge, although fans are encouraged to contribute to the Gulf Coast Hurricane Relief Fund as they stand with Lord Stanley's trophy. Photo opportunities will also be available for those without a camera handy.
