WHEELING, WV â The Wheeling Nailers announce today that due to the flooding in downtown Wheeling, their game against Atlantic City scheduled for tonight at 7:30 has been cancelled.
The game will be rescheduled for a later date that is still to be determined. However, the Nailers game on Sunday January 9th against the Toledo Storm is still on, game time is 5:05. For more information call the Nailers office at 1-877-NAIL-TIX or (304)234-GOAL.
NAILERS AHL AFFILIATE RECALLS THREE
WHEELING, WV â The Wheeling Nailers announced today that their AHL affiliate Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins have recalled forwards' Kenny Corupe and Cam Paddock and defenseman Drew Fata.
Corupe, 24, has recorded 22 points (6+16) and 18 penalty minutes in 31 games this season with the Nailers. He leads the team in assists and is tied for first in scoring. The 6'1", 195-pound native of Hamilton, Ontario appeared in 58 games last season with Louisiana (ECHL), recording 55 points (18+37) and 37 penalty minutes. Corupe ranked fourth on the team in assists and fifth in scoring.
Corupe was signed by the Penguins to an American Hockey League contract on October 24, 2004.
Fata, 22, has appeared in 18 games with the Penguins this season, recording two points (1+1) and 50 penalty minutes. In six games with the Nailers this season, he has one assist and 24 penalty minutes. Fata was assigned to Wheeling for the second time this season on December 30.
Paddock, 21, is scoreless with six penalty minutes in 13 games with the Penguins this season. In 14 games with the Nailers this season, he has recorded five points (3+2) and 23 penalty minutes. He was assigned to Wheeling for the third time this season on December 30.
The Nailers will play Atlantic City on Friday on Casino Night, the Nailers will be giving away a trip for two to Las Vegas, game time is 7:30.
