Rays Fans Help Charity
The South Carolina Stingrays and the Boys and Girls Club of the Trident Area have teamed up to raise money on Saturday night, when the Stingrays host the Pee Dee Pride. The first 3,000 fans making any sort of donation to the Boys and Girls Club will receive a collector's addition bottle of "Fitzsimmons Springs Drinking Water". The water bottles are symbolic of the Coach's six game suspension by the ECHL and Saturdays is Fitzsimmons's first game back.
Stingray's fans have already begun to pitch in for the cause. Fans at "Monday Night Hockey" at Bobby Hartin's have already pitched in over $500 in three weeks since Fitzsimmons' suspension.
