Trenton, N.J. (March 7, 2007) - The Trenton Titans beat the Johnstown Chiefs by a score of 5-2 at Sovereign Bank Arena in Trenton, New Jersey on Wednesday night.

Johnstown scored first, when Bryan Nathe converted a centering pass from Zbynek Hrdel to give the Chiefs a 1-0 lead at 13:18 of the first period. Trenton would strike back quickly, however, scoring three goals in a span of 1:09. First, Troy Riddle picked a low corner on Chiefs goaltender Morgan Cey at 15:26. Fifty-eight seconds later, Luis Tremblay fired a shot from the top of the slot past Cey, and then Pierre-Luc Leblond streaked down the left-wing for Trenton and fired a shot that beat Cey on the glove side at 16:35.

The Chiefs battled back in the second period, as Dmitri Tarabrin took a cross-ice pass from Desrochers, broke in to the offensive zone on the right side and fired a low shot past Naumenko at 13:02.

Les Haggett would add a shorthand goal on the empty net for Trenton at 19:11, and Mark Pandolfo would score on a penalty shot at 19:57 to give Trenton the 5-2 win.

On March 9, when the Chiefs face the Wheeling Nailers, the first 2,000 fans through the gates will get a free Chiefs poster courtesy of the U.S. Army! And don't forget, the Chiefs will be wearing 1975-76 Johnstown Jets throwback jerseys for all three games this weekend.
