Quick scoring Titans send Chiefs packing, 5-2

Trenton Devils News Release
TRENTON, NJ (March 7, 2007) - A three-goal strike over a span of 1:09 was enough for the Trenton Titans to defeat the Johnstown Chiefs by a score of 5-2 in front of 2,221 at the Sovereign Bank Arena on Wednesday night.
Though Bryan Nathe completed a 4-on-2 for the Chiefs to take a 1-0 lead at 13:18 of the first period, the Titans would rattle off the next three to skate into the locker room with a two-goal lead.
At 15:26 of the same period, Scott Bertoli took an odd-man rush into the Johnstown zone and waited with the puck before finding Troy Riddle alone between the hash marks for his 22nd goal of the season. Fifty-eight seconds later, Pierre-Luc Leblond made a nifty move behind the net to get by the defenseman and send a perfect backhand pass to Luis Tremblay, who fired a wrist shot that beat Morgan Cey to the glove side. It then took only eleven ticks of the clock for Leblond to complete the scoring spree as his shot from the near circle found the far corner with 3:25 left in the first.
Dmitri Tarabrin tallied the lone goal of the second period and cut the Titans' lead in half with a sneaky wrister that got by the blocker of Gregg Naumenko.
Trenton would take their 3-2 edge into the final frame and fend off Johnstown with the help of Les Haggett's empty-net shorthanded goal with forty-nine seconds remaining. Mark Pandolfo completed the scoring when he converted on a penalty shot awarded at 19:57 of third.
Naumenko gathered his 16th win of the season as he turned away 34-for-36 shots.
