LAST GAME: The Salmon Kings capped a two-game series in Fresno with a thrilling comeback and shootout showdown. Defenseman Paul Ballantyne scored his second of the series at 4:47 into the first period and Julien Ellis made 15 saves. The Falcons controlled the second stanza and took the lead with a marker from John Morlang, and a powerplay goal courtesy of John Wroblewski.

In the third frame, the momentum swung back and forth as three goals were posted in just over one minute. Gustav Engman made it count on the powerplay with a slapshot from the point, and Ryan Wade wired a shot from the right circle to give Victoria the one-goal lead within 35 seconds.

Fresno tied the game 26 seconds later as John Morlang mustered his second tally of the night.

In the extra period, neither squad could solve the goaltenders and the game was decided in a shootout. Milan Gajic and Marc-Andre Bernier scored for Victoria, and Ellis stopped all but one shot at the hands of Luke Curtin.

LAST GAME vs Stockton: The Salmon Kings earned their first three-game sweep in club history in a Valentine's week series at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre.

Victoria capitalized twice on a powerplay series in the first period as team leading goal scorers Wes Goldie and Kiel McLeod each scored on Devan Dubnyk. Still in the opening frame, Stockton's Troy Bodie tallied his 19th goal of the season and Stephane Goulet chipped in a powerplay score to tie the game at the first intermission.

Stockton nabbed their first lead of the game with 4:58 left in the second stanza as Bodie earned his second goal, but Victoria countered in the third period as brothers Derek and Jordan Krestanovich combined for a one-timer to tie the match at three goals apiece and force an overtime.

Wes Goldie garnered the overtime winner, snapping a rebound top shelf, and Julien Ellis finished with 35 saves.
