Thunder Close First Season in ECHL with Fandemonium

Wichita, KS (April 11th) - The Wichita Thunder, proud member of the ECHL and powered by Toyota, will close their inaugural season in the ECHL tonight against the Allen Americans starting at 7:05 p.m. Fandemonium, the team's way of saying thank you to the fans, will take place tonight along with the annual Thunder Alumni game and Team Photo Giveaway Night.

Doors to the arena open at 5 p.m. with the opening face-off of the Thunder Alumni against the Wichita Junior Thunder starting at 5:15 p.m. Tickets for the Thunder game will get you into both. Fans can get great prizes throughout the game that have been donated from our partners. The Thunder team awards will also be announced before the opening puck drop. Team MVP, Defenseman of the Year and Unsung Hero are just a few of the awards that are handed out on an annual basis.

Wichita is coming off of a shootout loss last night at the hands of the Tulsa Oilers while the Americans defeated Rapid City last night at home by the final of 5-1. This is the 17th meeting of the season between the Thunder and the Americans. Wichita is 8-7-0-1 this season against Allen and 3-4-0-1 at INTRUST Bank Arena.
