The Week That Was:

The Stingrays looked to continue their winning streak as well as break the team record for most consecutive wins as they took on divisional rivals Charlotte Checkers and Gwinnett Gladiators.

With four guys called up to the Hershey Bears (Davis Parley, Grant McNeill, Stephen Werner, and Steve Pinizzotto), the Stingrays were only skating 15 players for both games, but that didn't stop them.

On Saturday night, the team traveled to Charlotte looking for their 10th win in a row, which would tie the team record. Trent Campbell continued his scoring streak as he netted two goals, including the game-winning goal as the Stingrays defeated the Checkers 5-2. The Stingrays scored four of their five goals in the first period and were 2/7 on the power play.

Sunday brought team rival Gwinnett to town as the Stingrays looked for their first win this year against the Gladiators as well as a record-breaking 11th win in a row. After being down two goals going into the third period, the Stingrays answered back with goals from Matt Scherer and Cail MacLean to tie the score and force the game into overtime. After a scoreless overtime, the ensuing shootout lasted 13 rounds before Chris Chaput finally scored the game-winner. Josh Johnson stopped 12 of 13 shots in the shootout.
