Las Vegas Heads Into New Year With First Place In Pacific Division

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers® posted a 1-2-0 record this week, starting with a 4-2 win over Idaho at the Orleans Arena on Thursday. Friday night, Las Vegas was edged by Idaho 3-2 at the Orleans Arena. The Wranglers concluded the week with a 3-2 defeat in Bakersfield.

Las Vegas will return home to begin a six-game home stand starting with Stockton at 5:05 pm on New Year's Day at the Orleans Arena. The team will then host the Fresno Falcons on January 4th, 5th, and 8th at 7:05 pm at the Orleans Arena.

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the Idaho Steelheads 4-2 on Thursday night in front of 5,125 fans at the Orleans Arena. Aki Seitsonen's fifth goal of the season at 14:26 of the second period proved to be the game-winning tally for Las Vegas. Defensemen Sean Owens, Jason Krischuk and Aaron Power each scored in the victory. Las Vegas goalie Daniel Manzato stopped 22 of 24 Idaho shots.

Friday, December 28th

Idaho 3 at Las Vegas 2

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers fell to the Idaho Steelheads 3-2 on Friday night in front of 6,028 fans at the Orleans Arena. Idaho's Lance Galbraith scored the go-ahead goal with 2:12 left in the game, giving the Steelheads their first road-win in regulation this season. Las Vegas forwards Adam Cracknell and Peter Ferraro each scored, as the team dropped to 9-2-2 at home this season. Las Vegas goalie Daniel Manzato stopped 26 of 29 Idaho shots in the defeat. Idaho goalie Steve Silverthorn stopped 29 of 31 Las Vegas shots for the victory.

Sunday, December 30th

Las Vegas 2 at Bakersfield 3

Bakersfield, CA - The Las Vegas Wranglers were defeated by the Bakersfield Condors 3-2 at Rabobank Arena on Sunday night. Condors' winger Evan Kotsopoulous broke a 2-2 tie with his second goal of the season at 10:28 of the third period for the Bakersfield win. Wranglers' defenseman Aaron Power and Shawn Limpright each scored in the first loss of the season to Bakersfield. Las Vegas all-star goalie Daniel Manzato dropped to 12-3-1, stopping 18 Bakersfield shots. Condors' goalie Yutaka Fukufuji improved to 7-7-0 with 25 saves.

Wranglers Roster Shuffled Again, Lalande Returns

Las Vegas announced on Monday that goalie Kevin Lalande has been reassigned to Las Vegas by the Quad City Flames of the American Hockey League. Forward Ryan Donally and defenseman Gerry Burke both remain with the Flames. Center Curtis Fraser remains on recall in the AHL with San Antonio. Forwards Chris Ferraro(C), Bruce Mulherin (LW), Marco Peluso (LW) and Justin Donati (C), along with Mike McBain (D) all remain on the injured reserve list.
