LAST WEEK: Fresno closed out 2007 with a 1-1-1 record last week. The Falcons are 15-9-4 on the season for 34 points and are in second place of the Pacific Division.
Thursday, December 27 @ Stockton Thunder 2 FALCONS 0
Fresno out-shot Stockton 40-35, but it was the Thunder who came out on top on the scoreboard, picking up a 2-0 win. Ryan MacMurchy opened the scoring late in the first period, and Brandon Schwartz added to the Thunder lead midway through the third period.
Saturday, December 29 vs. Victoria Salmon Kings 4 FALCONS 3 (SO)
Oren Eizenman paced the Falcons' offense with three points (g, 2a), while Matt Stefanishion added two assists. John Morlang gave Fresno a 3-2 lead with a power-play goal eight minutes into the third period, but the Salmon Kings forced overtime after Paul Ballantyne scored at the 16:03 mark. The shootout went 10 rounds, with Victoria outscoring Fresno 4-3.
Sunday, December 30 vs. Victoria FALCONS 5 Salmon Kings 3
Fresno ended the 2007 portion of its schedule with a 5-3 win over Victoria. The Falcons opened a 4-0 lead after two periods on a pair of goals from Oren Eizenman and single tallies from Brady Leisenring and P.O. Beaulieu. Victoria cut the Fresno lead in half with a pair of goals in the opening seven minutes of the third period, but the Falcons got one of the goals back off the stick of Igor Gongalsky at 11:10. Wes Goldie scored a 5-on-3 power-play goal for the Salmon Kings at 16:57 to set the final. Kris Mayotte earned the win in goal, turning aside 26 shots.

Fresno opens a three-game series in Las Vegas against the Wranglers. The teams have met just once so far this season, with Las Vegas winning in 2-1 in a shootout on opening night at Save Mart Center. The Wranglers are in first place of the Pacific Division with a record of 21-5-4 for 46 points.
