Matt Reid had a goal and an assist and Maxime Daigneault won his sixth straight game as the Stingrays set a franchise mark with ten straight wins.
The Team:
The Stingrays have won ten consecutive games to set a franchise record and move all the way into second place in the division with a record of 22-14-3. The Stingrays are now 13-4-1 at the North Charleston Coliseum. The Rays special teams have been very impressive in January. The team's power play is clicking at 34% for the month and is now first in the league at 19.8%. The penalty kill has held the opposition to 6.7% on the power play in January and continues to be the top ranked kill in the league at 91.2%.
The Players:
Rich Peverley has ten goals and six assists in January for 16 points. Peverley and Matt Reid are tied for the team lead in goals with 17. Tenute and Peverley are each among the leagues leading rookies in scoring; Tenute has 34 points while Peverley has 30. Mark Ardelan is ranked second among ECHL defensemen with nine goals and his 23 points have him on the league leaders list. Maxime Daigneault has won six straight starts and has a GAA of 1.65 in that stretch.
