THE WEEK AHEAD

Tuesday, February 1st Inferno vs. South Carolina Stingrays Carolina Coliseum 7:30pm

This is the eighth game this season against the Inferno and Stingrays. The Inferno is 3-3-1 against them this season and 18-9-2 all-time. The Stingrays are in 2nd place with 47 points (22-14-3) in 39 games.

Friday, February 4th Inferno vs. Greenville Grrrowl Carolina Coliseum 7:30pm

The Greenville Grrrowl is in 5th place in the East Division with 44 points (20-17-4) in 41 games. This is the sixth meeting between these two teams and the Inferno is 5-0-0 against the Grrrowl this year.

Saturday, February 5th Inferno vs. Pee Dee Pride Carolina Coliseum 7:30pm

The Inferno is 3-2-0 against the Pride this season and 19-8-3 all-time. The Pride is in 3rd place in the East Division with 46 points (22-17-2) in 41 games.

LAST WEEK

Friday, January 28th INFERNO 4 Gwinnett 3 (SO)

Matt Ulwelling started the scoring off for the Inferno at 12:02 of the first period with an assist to D'Arcy McConvey. Gwinnett answered back at 14:40 with a power play goal by Joe Bourne to tie the game. McConvey scored his ninth goal of the season at 4:59 of the second period with help from Chanse Fitzpatrick and Trevor Demmans. The Gladiators tied the game for the second time of the night at 6:24. Brad Ralph notched his 13th goal of the season on the power play with help from Tim Smith and Derek Eastman to give the Inferno a 3-2 lead. Smith was assigned to the Columbia Inferno from the Manitoba Moose. With 19 seconds left in the game, Gwinnett scored as they pulled their goaltender for the extra attacker to tie the game and push it into overtime and a shootout. Rob McVicar stopped 38 of 41 shots on goal for the win.
