After two scoreless periods, Mississippi scored the game¡¦s first goal 1:51 into the final period off of the stick of Mike Jarmuth. The Sea Wolves doubled their lead at 5:28 on a Pat O¡¦Leary tip-in. The Pride pulled within one at 15:46 on Allan Sirois¡¦ 13th of the season. But, the Sea Wolves set the final on a Jeff Hutchins tally at the 17:49 mark. The Pride fell despite outshooting the Sea Wolves 39-20.
Saturday, January 29 @ Mississippi Sea Wolves 4 PRIDE 1
For the second straight night, the Pride fell at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum, this time 4-1. The Sea Wolves scored a pair of goals in each of the first two periods to get out to a 4-0 lead. Jake Wiegand gave the Pride hope tallying his second goal of the season just 1:07 into the final period, but former Pride goaltender Matt Underhill shut the door the rest of the way to beat his former team for the second consecutive night.
Sunday, January 30 @ Pensacola Ice Pilots 4 PRIDE 2
Pensacola scored the only goal of the opening period, as Chris St. Jacques beat Sebastien Laplante at the 15:10 mark. Pee Dee tied the game 12:07 into the second period on an Allan Sirois power-play goal, but back-to-back power-play goals by the Ice Pilots¡¦ Corey Neilson in the next two minutes made it 3-1 after two. Jeff Szwez pulled the Pride back within one 4:17 into the third, and the Pride had some great chances to tie the game, but Pensacola goalie Frederic Cloutier made several outstanding saves to keep his team on top. St. Jacques added his second of the night with 1:05 remaining in regulation to set the final.
