Last Weeks Highlights:
1/28/05 > Long Beach 3 @ Bakersfield 2 (OT)
Looking to gain some ground on the division leaders, the Ice Dogs skated into Bakersfield and gained a point on the Condors with a 3-2 overtime win. Joe Cardarelli got the Ice Dogs on the board first, before Bakersfield took a 2-1 lead to end the second period. Dan Watson tied the score at 2-2 early in the third to send the game into overtime. Just 57 seconds into the extra frame, Marco Rosa notched the game winner. Chris Madden made 34 saves in the win.
1/29/05 > Long Beach 5 @ Fresno 3
Taking on the Fresno Falcons who were 10-1-1 in their last 12, the Ice Dogs needed to come from behind but picked up two points in the end. Fresno took a 2-0 lead in the first period before Nathan Martz cut the deficit in half. The Ice Dogs tied it up on Chris Kenady's goal early in the second before the Falcons again took the lead, 3-2. In the final period, Long Beach scored three unanswered goals by Marco Rosa, Cory Urquhart, and Mike Vellinga to win it 5-3. Madden again got the start, this time making 39 saves.
1/30/05 > Long Beach 5 vs. Fresno 0
The Ice Dogs took over sole possession of first place in the league with a 5-0 thumping of the Fresno Falcons. Chris Madden earned his fourth shutout of the season, stopping all 35 Fresno shots. Cory Urquhart, Marco Rosa, Christian Larrivee, Evan Cheverie, and Nathan Martz all contributed on the scoreboard to give the Ice Dogs a perfect 3-0-0 record over the weekend.

The Ice Dogs will head up to Boise on Friday to take on the Idaho Steelheads. It will be the first of eight straight games the Ice Dogs will play away from the Long Beach Arena. Long Beach has a record of 3-3-0 versus the defending Kelly Cup Champs this season.
2/5/05 > Long Beach @ Idaho
Saturday night the Ice Dogs will play in the second game of a two-game series versus the Steelheads. In six games played against Idaho, Evan Cheverie has three goals and three assists. It will be the final regular season game that Long Beach will play in Idaho this season.
