Ice Pilots go 3-0 this past week. The Pensacola Ice Pilots posted a record 3-0 this past week and have won five games in a row. The Ice Pilots defeated Augusta 4-1 on Friday night at home in front of 4,276 fans. Ryan O'Keefe, Aaron Phillips, Bill Kinkel and Alex Materukhin scored goals for the Ice Pilots. Frederic Cloutier was the winning goalie. The Ice Pilots had 32 shots on goal and Augusta had 25.

The Ice Pilots won Saturday night 5-1 vs. Augusta in front of 5,036 fans. Aaron Phillips scored a hat trick for the Ice Pilots and Tyler Beechey and David Turon also scored goals. Todd Ford was the winning goalie. The Ice Pilots had 34 shots on goal and Augusta had 24 shots on goal.

The Ice Pilots defeated Pee Dee at home on Sunday 4-2 in front of! 2,959 fans. Chris St. Jacques and Corey Neilson each scored two goals in the game. Frederic Cloutier was the winning goalie and Sebastian Laplante took the loss in goal for the Pride.

The Ice Pilots have won five games in a row and set a franchise record with 10 wins in the month of January. It is the most wins that any Ice Pilots team has had in a single month. The Ice Pilots ended with a 10-4-1 record in the month of January.

The Ice Pilots go into the week with the best record in the American Conference and the most amount of points in the conference as the Ice Pilots are 27-11-4 for 58 points. The Ice Pilots are in first place in the South Division and have the second most points in the ECHL. Their .690 winning percentage is tied with Bakersfield as the best in the league.

Ice Pilots All Stars: The Ice Pilots Dave Farrish coached the American Conference in the Coors Light ECHL All-Star game this past Wednesday, January 26th in Reading, Pennsylvania. Corey Neilson was the starting defenseman and captain for the American Conference and Todd Ford represented the I! ce Pilots as a back up goalie. Tyler Beechey was the starting center f or the American Conference. Equipment Manager John Krouse will be the equipment manager for the American Conference. The Nationals defeated the Americans 6-2.

Tentative Practice Schedule this week; The Ice Pilots will have Monday off. The Ice Pilots will practice at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the civic center and leave for Louisiana at Noon. The Ice Pilots will play at Louisiana on Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. The Ice Pilots will have no ice on Thursday to practice at the civic center. The Ice Pilots will play at Mississippi on Friday at 7:35 p.m. and play at Gwinnett on Saturday at 6:35 p.m. central time. The Ice Pilots will have Sunday off.

Phillips scored a hat trick on Saturday night and ended up with four goals over the weekend including 2 game winning goals. Goalie Frederic Cloutier has been nominated for the ECHL Goalie of the Week. Cloutier won both games this weekend.. Phillips has been named the Dodge Player of the Week.

A group of 25-99 will receive $2 off per ticket, scoreboard, public announcement recognition, the group leader receive two free tickets with a minimum of 25 tickets purchased and group members are eligible to become an MVP. Kerr's Kids: For the second season in a row the Ice Pilots are introducing "Kerr's Kids." Thanks to Ice Pilots owner Tim Kerr and SMG (Pensacola Civic Center), the Ice Pilots would like to invite organizations devoted to helping children who are terminally ill or have special limitations to be our guest during the 2004-05 regular season for a great night of hockey. Each organization is encouraged to pick 3-4 dates throughout the regular season. The Ice Pilots will provide free admission for 12 people (We would like to have at least 6 or more children, escorts are required for the children and are counted as part of the 12). SMG will provide a hot dog and soda for each guest. If accessib! le seating is needed the Ice Pilots must be notified at least 2 days i n advance and seating will be arranged.
