BOISE, Idaho - The Idaho Steelheads gained some ground over the weekend in its push towards securing a playoff spot (top four from each division qualify), and with 43 points now sit five points behind fourth place West Division teams Fresno Falcons and San Diego Gulls which each have 48. However, Idaho will have its work cut out for it to get closer as it gears up for two home games at the Bank of America Centre this weekend against the league's top team - the Long Beach Ice Dogs which sits in first place with 60 points.

Idaho wrapped up its regular season with the Aces with a 5-3-2 record. Since joining the ECHL, Idaho is now 10-7-3 against Alaska, and has an all time record of 58-27-6.

Idaho returns home to the Bank of America Centre for two games against the Long Beach Ice Dogs on Friday, February 4th and Saturday, February 5th. Both games start at 7:10 p.m.
