ESTERO, FL - The Florida Everblades picked up wins in both of their games this past week, running their unbeaten in regulation streak to nine games (4-0-5). The 'Blades enter this week's action with a record of 22-13-6 (50 pts., 2nd South Division).

Tuesday, February 1 vs. Augusta Lynx 7:30 p.m.
GAME NOTES: The Everblades close out their season-long seven-game home stand on Tuesday night when they host the Augusta Lynx for the fourth and final time this season. The 'Blades hold a 2-0-1 record vs. Augusta this season, picking up wins on home ice of 3-2 & 5-2 on Dec. 17 & 18, and earning a tie after a 3-2 shootout loss on Jan. 18. Three games remain between the teams following Tuesday's meeting, all in Augusta. The Lynx enter this week's action with a record of 14-23-5 (33 pts., 6th, East Division) and are 0-4-1 in their last five games. The Everblades hold an all-time record of 31-9-4 vs. Augusta.
Friday & Saturday, February 4 & 5 at Augusta Lynx Both Games: 7:35 p.m.
GAME NOTES: The Everblades travel to Augusta, Georgia for the first time this season for a pair of games this weekend. The road games for Florida will be their first since Jan. 8. Overall, the Everblades are 9-6-2 on the road, and are 7-1-2 in their last 10 road games. Entering this week, Augusta holds a home record of 6-9-3. Florida is 12-5-3 all-time in Augusta.
LAST WEEK'S RESULTS
Friday, January 28 vs. Louisiana IceGators 5-3 Win
The Everblades won their second straight game on Friday night at Germain Arena defeating the Louisiana IceGators 5-3. The win pushed Florida's record to 4-0-3 in their last seven home games.
After a shaky start, the Everblades forged a come-from-behind effort on two third period goals to break a 3-3 tie entering the final period. David Lundbohm and Steve Saviano each scored in the third period for Florida to help push them to their 10th come-from-behind win this season. After falling behind 2-0 by the 9:04 mark of the first period, Florida began its comeback when Kris Vernarsky notched his 10th goal of the year at 9:23. Matt Pagnutti sent the teams to the locker rooms tied at two when he beat Louisiana net-minder Kyle Kettles with a quick shot from the top of the left circle.
Each team netted a second period tally, with the IceGators re-collecting the lead at 1:54 of the middle period, however, the Everblades tied the game at three on a power play goal by Brad Church at 7:46 of the frame. Rob Zepp picked up the win in goal stopping 18 of 21 shots to raise his record to 9-7-1. Florida Special Teams: PP: 1-for-8, PK: 4-for-5.
Saturday, January 29 vs. Louisiana IceGators 6-5 Win
The Everblades picked up a big come-from-behind win over the Louisiana IceGators on Saturday night at Germain Arena. The Everblades scored a franchise record five power play goals in the contest to propel them to their third straight win. Brad Church notched a hat-trick for the Everblades, who trailed 5-3 entering the third period before ripping off three power play goals in the final frame. All three of Church's goals came on the man advantage, and Damian Surma and Reggie Berg each chipped in a power play tally. David Lundbohm scored the lone even strength goal for the 'Blades, who are now 5-0-3 in their last eight home games. Rob Zepp started in goal for Florida but left six minutes into the second period with an injury after stopping 15 of 18 shots. Craig Kowalski finished off the game between the pipes and earned the win stopping 12 of the 14 shots he faced, raising his record to 13-6-5. The five power play goals broke the old franchise record of four, done twice, most recently in 2003 vs. Las Vegas. Florida special teams: PP: 5-for-9, PK: 4-for-6.

Weekly Award Nominee: This week's Everblades Player of the Week nominee is Reggie Berg, who notched seven points in two games this past weekend in a pair of games vs. Louisiana. Berg notched one goal and six assists in the two games. His one goal was the game-winner in Saturday night's 6-5 Florida win.

Home Cookin': The Everblades are in the midst of their season-long, seven-game home stand, and currently hold a record of 3-0-3. The 'Blades have outscored their opponents 28-21 in the six games played thus far, and have scored on 24.4% of their power play chances (10-41), while killing off 86.2% of the power play opportunities against them (25-29). Overall, the Everblades are 5-0-3 in their last eight home games.
Record Setting Night: The Everblades set an all-time franchise record for most power play goals scored in one game last Saturday night vs. Louisiana. Florida scored five times in nine power play opportunities in a 6-5 victory. The five PPG's snaps the old franchise mark of four, which was done twice before, most recently on Nov. 4, 2003 vs. Las Vegas. The 55.5% rating for the game raised the Everblades overall power play percentage from 12.2% before the game to 14.2%.
League Leaders: Matt Hendricks enters this week's action ranked tied for ninth in the ECHL in scoring with his 40 points. He is also leading in scoring among all ECHL rookies. Hendricks' 19 goals also leads all first year players...Brad Church is tied for third in the league with a plus-19 rating and is tied for second in the ECHL with his nine power play goals...defenseman Matt Pagnutti is tied for 13th in scoring among ECHL defenseman with his 22 points.
Come-Back Kids!: In eight of their last nine games, the Everblades have battled back from third period deficits to either tie or win the game. In their last eight, the Blades are 4-0-5. The biggest come-back in this stretch of games, came on Jan. 6 at Pee Dee when Florida trailed 3-0 just 20 seconds into the third period, and came back to win 4-3 in regulation. Overall this season, the Everblades have mustered 11 come-from-behind wins.
Approaching Milestones: A few Everblades players are closing in on milestones, here's a look at who's doing what: Jared Newman is five games from skating in his 100th professional game...Brent McDonald is four games away from skating in his 300th career game...Ryan Brindley needs to play in 23 more games to hit the 400 games played plateau in his career...Brandon Coalter finds himself six games away from his 100th game in an Everblades uniform...Damian Surma is 22 games shy of playing in his 200th professional game and is 17 points away from his 100th career point.
