The Week Ahead:

Monday, November 3, @ Columbia – 7:30 PM @ Carolina Coliseum

The Stingrays dropped the first game of the season series with the Inferno, 3-1 on Friday night in North Charleston. The Inferno has an all-time record of 11-5-1 against the Stingrays. Columbia sits in first place in the Southern Division with a record of 5-2-1. Both of Columbia's losses have come at home. The Stingrays are trying to snap a two game losing skid. They are 1-1 on the road.

Friday, November 7, Vs Columbus – 7:30 PM @ North Charleston Coliseum

This is the first meeting of the season between these two teams that are no longer division rivals. Columbus is in sixth place in the Central Division with a record of 3-6-0. The Cottonmouths have struggled on the road with a mark of 1-4. The Stingrays had a record of 8-0 against Columbus last season.

Saturday, November 8, Vs Charlotte @ North Charleston Coliseum

This is the first meeting of the season between these two teams. Both the Checkers and the Rays start the week with six points in the Southern Division. Both of the Checkers two wins on the season have come on the road.

Tuesday, October 28, Stingrays 3 Vs Florence 0

Kirk Daubenspeck made 30 saves in his first shut out of the season. Dave Seitz netted his first goal in the win as the Rays improved to 2-0 at home.

Friday, October 31, Stingrays 1 Vs Columbia 3

Robin Carruthers had a pair of first period goals and the Inferno continued to frustrate the Rays. Rookie forward Jim Lorentz netted his first goal of the season in the loss. Kirk Daubenspeck has his second straight 30 save performance, as his record fell to 3-2.

Saturday, November 1, Stingrays 2 Vs Atlantic City 4

This was the second straight home loss for the Rays, dropping the team's record to 3-3 overall. David Brumby had his first start in goal. Kevin Spiewak netted his team leading third goal of the season. Atlantic City won its ECHL leading seventh game of the season.

The Team:

The Rays have dropped two straight for the first time this season. The team is 1-1 on the road and 2-2 at home. The team allowed their opponent the first goal in each of the two losses this weekend. The Rays are 1-3 in their last four games. South Carolina's power play is ranked 16th in the ECHL with a mark of 16.2%. On the penalty kill, the Stingrays rank 15th at 84.4%. The Ray average 2.5 goals for per game which ranks 26th in the league. Defensively, South Carolina ranks fourth in the ECHL allowing just 2.5 goals per game.

The Players:

Kirk Daubenspeck earned his firs shut out of the season in Tuesday's win. He has started five of the Stingrays first six games and has a record of 3-2 with a goals against average of 2.21 and a save percentage of .926. Kevin Spiewak leads the Stingrays in goals with three. He and Dave Seitz each have five points to lead the team. Brent Henley ranks fifth in the ECHL with 52 penalty minutes.
