Long Beach Ice Dogs News Release
Last Weeks Highlights: 11/1/03 > Long Beach 3 vs. Bakersfield 0
The Ice Dogs won in impressive fashion in their home opener, holding the Condors off the scoreboard with a 43 save shutout by T.J. Aceti. Kevin McDonald scored what proved to be the game winner midway through the first as the Ice Dogs improved to 7-2 all-time in home openers. It was also the first Ice Dogs shutout in nearly a year, which coincidentally last came against Bakersfield.
11/2/03 > Long Beach 1 vs. Idaho 5
It was a tough night for the Ice Dogs who couldn't generate much offense in losing to the Idaho Steelheads. Mike Ouellet scored a power play goal in the first period, his 2nd of the season, to tie the score at 1, but four unanswered goals by the Steelheads proved to be too much. Jeff Bateman had 2 goals and an assist for Idaho which continued its domination, improving to 22-8 all-time versus Long Beach.
