Gilhooly Waived and Konstantinov Added to Roster

Pensacola, FL - The Pensacola Ice Pilots, under the new ownership group of Hockey Enterprises of Pensacola L.L.C. with the sole owner Tim Kerr, announced that goalie Mike Gilhooly has been waived and goalie Evgeny Konstantinov has been added to the roster after being assigned to the Ice Pilots from the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Konstantinov, who stands 6'1" and weighs 180 pounds, played in 39 games last year with Springfield of the AHL posting a record of 13-23-1 with a 3.24 goals against average and .889 save percentage and played in one game for the Tampa Bay Lightning of the NHL. He played for the Ice Pilots during the 2001-2002 season posting a record of 10-10 with a 3.47 goals against average and .901 save percentage and played in 3 games with Springfield with a 1-2 record and 1.69 goals against average and .926 save percentage.

Konstantinov also played for Detroit in the IHL during the 2000-2001 season posting a record of 4-15-2 with a 4.26 goals against average and .858 save percentage and played in 8 games for Louisiana with a 4-4 record and a 2.75 goals against average and .911 save percentage.

The Ice Pilots will play home games this Friday and Saturday night vs. the Fresno Falcons at 7:05 p.m. The Ice Pilots are off to their best start ever with a 5-1 record for 10 points and are on a five game winning streak. It is the first ever meeting between the Ice Pilots and Fresno Falcons. The Ice Pilots will also play at Texas on Sunday at 5:05 p.m.
