
Ice Pilots Team Up With "Nextel Can For A Cause" Holiday Drive

Pensacola, FL - The Pensacola Ice Pilots, under the new ownership group of Hockey Enterprises of Pensacola L.L.C. with the sole owner Tim Kerr, will host "Nextel Can For A Cause" holiday food drive at the Ice Pilots home game on Tuesday, November 25th vs. the Mississippi Sea Wolves at 7:05 p.m.
Each fan who donates three or more nonperishable food items at the game will receive $3.00 off the ticket price at the box office, and will also receive an Ice Pilots, Manna Food Pantry and Nextel rally towel.
Suggested nonperishable food items include canned soup, peanut butter, baby food, baby formula, tuna, chili, packaged food that requires minimal additional ingredients, spices and cooking oil. Donations will be delivered to the Manna Food Pantries, just in time for the holidays.
"We are proud to be a part of the "Nextel Cans For A Cause" holiday food drive. This is a great way to support the local community when it needs it most â during the holiday season," said Ice Pilots owner Tim Kerr.
"Giving back to our community has been a priority since we launched service in Pensacola three years ago," said Anne Gau, general manager of Nextel Partners. "It's our way of saying thanks to the community for its support and lending a hand to our neighbors in need."
