LAST WEEK'S RECORD: 0-1-0 OVERALL RECORD: 2-3-0

Nov. 1 @ Las Vegas – In the first-ever meeting between Falcons head coach Blaine Moore and his former player-assistant coach, head coach of the Las Vegas Wranglers Glen Gulutzan, and their two respective hockey teams, the Wranglers prevailed at Orleans Arena, 5-4. Despite getting outshot, 33-13, through two periods, Fresno managed a 3-3 tie heading to the third. Las Vegas scored twice, though, in the first 3:09 of the final frame on their way to handing the Falcons their third straight loss.

THIS WEEK'S UPCOMING GAMES

The Falcons play their first games outside the Pacific Division this week as they continue an 11-game road trip to begin the season. They travel to face the Columbus Cottonmouths on Tuesday before a two-game set on Friday and Saturday in Pensacola against the Ice Pilots. They round out the week with their third game in three days in Biloxi vs. the Mississippi Sea Wolves.

NOTES

· Kris Porter leads the Falcons in scoring with eight points (4g-4a). Going pointless on Saturday in Las Vegas snapped his string of four straight games with two points.

· Goaltender Nolan Schaefer made his fourth start on Saturday and has appeared in every game this season for the Falcons. He is 2-2-0 with a 2.23 goals against average and .931 save percentage.

· Three players scored their first goals of the season on Saturday: Riku Rahikainen, Michael Kiesman and Scott Borders.

· The Falcons start the week in last place in the Pacific Division, one point behind the fourth place San Diego Gulls, Long Beach Ice Dogs and Bakersfield Condors. They are nine points behind the first place Wranglers.

· Fresno is 13th (17.6%) on the power play this season and 25th (76.9%) on the penalty kill.
