Idaho Snaps a Three-Game Losing Streak and Prepares for First "East Coast Foe" Visit to the Bank of

BOISE, Idaho - The Idaho Steelheads completed a three-game weekend road trip to Las Vegas (L2-3), San Diego (L3-6), and Long Beach (W5-1), and snapped a three-game losing streak Sunday night against the Ice Dogs. The team is back to a ..500 winning percentage, with a season record of 5-5 (home 3-2; away 2-3), and are second in their division in points with 10 and ranked fourth in their division in winning percentage. SIZZLING STEELHEAD: Jeff Bateman (assigned to Idaho by Utah-AAA on 10/23/03) has notched 5 points in the last two games, scoring 2 goals against San Diego, and 2 goals and 1 assist in the game against Long Beach. Jan Kopecky has recorded 5 points in the last 4 games (2G, 3A). Darrell Hay has tallied an assist in each of the last 3 games. Scott Burt has scored 3 points in the last 2 games (1G, 2A), as has Jeremy Mylymok (3A).

IN THE NET: Goaltender Dan Ellis' record is 2-4, allowing 23 goals and making 153 stops. He is 2-0 in shootout wins and best in the league, allowing only one 1 goal in 9 attempts. Ellis has posted a 3.75 average and a save percentage of .869. Goaltender Blair Allison is 3-1-0, allowing only 6 goals in 91 attempts. Allison has posted an average of 1.50 and save percentage of .934; and is tied for third in the league. Allison holds the Steelheads all-time games played for goaltenders with 85 (2001-03); wins with 57 (2001-03); GAA with 2.55 (2001-03); and shutouts with 4 (2001-03).

GONE FISHIN': Idaho is tied for fifth worst in the league in power play percentage with 11.11% going 7-for-63. The team's penalty kill is also ranked at the fifth lowest with a 77.35%, allowing 12 goals in 53 opportunities.
