Schwartz Returned to Solar Bears, Martin Reassigned by Marlies

ORLANDO, Fla. - The Orlando Solar Bears, proud affiliate of the NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs and AHL's Toronto Marlies, have announced that forward Rylan Schwartz has been returned to the Solar Bears after being released from his Professional Try-Out Agreement with the Marlies, while defenseman James Martin has been reassigned to Orlando by the Marlies.

Schwartz, 26, has skated in 17 games with the Solar Bears this season, tallying 19 points (10g-9a) and 10 penalty minutes. He has also skated with Toronto over the course of two PTOs, posting one goal in five games with Orlando's AHL affiliate.

Martin's ECHL rights were acquired by the Solar Bears from the Idaho Steelheads on Feb. 19. The 24-year-old signed an AHL standard player's contract with the Marlies on Nov. 26, and has skated in 12 games with Toronto this season, recording three assists and six penalty minutes.

The Solar Bears continue their fourth season in the ECHL, presented by Auto Justice Attorney Michael T. Gibson, P.A., when they host the Indy Fuel on Saturday, Feb. 20 at 7:00 p.m. at the Amway Center.
