Monarchs Assigned Scott Sabourin and Zach Leslie by Ontario

MANCHESTER, N.H. - Manchester Monarchs Head Coach, Rich Seeley, announced today that Scott Sabourin and Zach Leslie have been assigned to the Monarchs by the Ontario Reign (AHL).

Sabourin, 23, played in 26 games this season for the Reign, totaling five points on three goals and two assists, while logging 52 penalty minutes.

The 6-foot-3, 203-pound native of Orleans, ON played with the Monarchs (AHL) from 2012-2015, winning a Calder Cup with Manchester in the 2014-15 season. With the Monarchs, Sabourin played a combined 125 games, scoring 38 points on 17 goals and 21 assists while earning 157 penalty minutes.

Prior to joining the Monarchs, Sabourin skated for parts of four seasons with the Oshawa Generals (OHL), totaling 80 points in 166 games on 46 goals and 34 assists, while logging 330 penalty minutes.

Leslie, 22, played in 21 games this season with the Reign, adding four assists and seven penalty minutes in his rookie campaign.

The 6-foot-0, 174-pound Ottawa, ON native was selected in the sixth round (178th overall) by the Los Angeles Kings in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. Prior to being drafted by the Kings, Leslie played four seasons for the Guelph Storm (OHL), playing in 250 games, scoring 155 points on 39 goals and 116 assists. Leslie was named assistant captain of the 2014-15 Storm, and was part of the 2013-14 OHL Championship Storm team.

Sabourin, Leslie and the Monarchs host the Reading Royals tonight, Saturday, Feb. 20 (7 p.m.) in the final game of a three-game series with the Royals on Youth Hockey Night at the Verizon Wireless Arena.
