The Stingrays have a record of 3-1 against the Pride this season. This is game five of seven on the year. The Pride has won six out of its last ten, but sits in seventh place with a record of 20-24-6.

South Carolina is 2-1 this season against the Cottonmouths. Columbus has a record of 6-3-1 in their last ten games. The Cottonmouths are 16-7-3 at home.
Sunday, February 22, 2004 Vs Roanoke 3:00 @ North Charleston Coliseum

The Rays have played the Express three times this season with a record of 1-2. The two teams will meet five times this season. Roanoke sits in sixth place with a mark of 23-23-6.

The Week That Was:
Thursday, February 12, 2004 Stingrays 5 @ Augusta 4 OT
Marty Clapton tied the score with 45 seconds to go and Kevin Spiewak scored his second overtime goal of the season against the Lynx in the win. The Rays came from down two goals in the game for the win.
Friday, February 13, 2004 Stingrays 3 Vs Charlotte 4 OT
The Stingrays rallied from down two in the third period, only to see Rory Rawlyk net the winner for the Checkers in overtime. Trevor Johnson scored the equalizer in the third period for the Stingrays.
Saturday, February 14, 2004 Stingrays 2 @ Charlotte 4
Once again the Rays fell behind by two goals, but this time they could not come back as their rally fell short. Konrad McKay had two goals for the Checkers, including a short handed tally.
The Team:
The Stingrays are all alone in fourth place in the Southern Division with a record of 28-17-3. The Rays have multiple games in hand on every other team in the division. The Rays are 6-3-1 in their last ten games and are now 14-9-1 at home and 14-8-2 on the road. The Stingrays are 18-11-2 against teams in the Southern Division and 10-6-1 against the other divisions. The Rays are 4-2 in overtime games, 4-1 in shootout games and 13-1-3 in one goal games overall. When they score first, the Stingrays are 19-6-2. South Carolina has allowed just 2.71 goals against per game this season which ranks ninth in the league. Offensively the team is ranked 20th averaging 2.92 goals per game. The Rays power play is ranked 13th in the league at 18.0%.
The Players:
Kirk Daubenspeck was the goaltender of record in all three games this past weekend, going 1-1-1. Daubenspeck has an overall record of 22-9-3 with a goals against average of 2.50 and a save percentage of .923. He is now 5-2 in shootout and overtime games. Kevin Spiewak had another short handed goal this week. He leads the team in short handed goals with two. The Rookie now has 40 points on 16 goals and 24 assists in 48 games. Curtis Huppe has six points on two goals and four assists in his last five games and ten points on four goals and six assists in his last ten games. On the season, Huppe has 15 goals and 18 assists for 33 points in 47 games. Ed Courtenay scored his 20th goal of the season this week. He is currently sixth on the Stingray all-time goals list with 74, nine goals behind Mike Ross for fifth. Mike Jickling's two assists on Saturday moved him into the Stingrays "One Hundred Point Club". He now has 102 career points with the Rays on 36 goals and 66 assists. Jickling is tied with Damian Prescott for 20th on the Stingrays all-time list.
