The Condors picked up a very important victory against the Alaska Aces on home ice, 7-4, gaining ground on the team they trail in the standings for the playoffs. Shane Bendera won his fourth straight between the pipes for the Condors. The night also featured the annual Help for the Homeless canned food drive, sponsored by KGEO 1230 AM & The Grocery Outlet, which brought in over 1,100 pounds for the Kern County Food Bank.

Friday, February 13 Attendance: 4,325

Friday the 13th proved to be a strange night, seeing the Condors winning streak come to a close with a 6-5 shootout loss against the Long Beach Ice Dogs. Bakersfield scored five times on 16 shots in regulation, but three of four Ice Dogs tickled the twine in the shootout for the win. The goal scoring again was spread around, with five different players recording a tally. The Condors came from behind twice in the game and had three separate leads, including a 5-4 advantage that was erased when the Ice Dogs tied it at 17:15 of the third period. Bakersfield dropped to 1-7 in overtime/shootouts this season.

Saturday, February 14 Attendance: 4,349

Bakersfield took a 4-0 first period lead on the Aces, but couldn't hold on as Alaska stormed back for six tallies in the final two periods and won 6-5 at Centennial Garden. Rookie Jordan Cameron had a memorable night for the Aces, scoring four unanswered goals to erase a 5-2 deficit and take the win. The loss snapped G Shane Bendera's four-game winning streak and left the Condors with 16 goals allowed in the three games during the week. Bakersfield failed to gain ground on the Aces, and fell to 4-3-1 on the season head-to-head against their foes from the North.
