
Bombers to venture on two-game road swing

The Dayton Bombers will look ahead to a pair of road games this coming Friday and Sunday against longtime rivals Peoria and Cincinnati, then return home in preparation for a Wednesday, February 25 engagement against the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies (7:00 p.m.). Fans can enjoy Happy Hour at the Bombers' game. Below is a preview of upcoming Bombers' games, including their next home affair:
Friday, February 20, 2004 @ Peoria Rivermen (8:05 p.m./ 7:50 p.m. broadcast time on WUDR-99.5 FM and www.daytonbombers.com in association with www.daytonbombers.com)- The Bombers will visit Carver Arena in Peoria to take on the Rivermen, kicking off a two-game road trip. The Bombers are 3-4 against the Rivermen this season and are 1-2 in head-to-head games played away from the Nutter Center. The Bombers won the last meeting at Carver Arena on January 15 by a score of 3-2. Brian Ridolfi scored the game-winning goal for the Bombers and goalie Bujar Amidovski starred with a 43-save effort. The Bombers have three more games against the Rivermen after this tilt. They will play a pair at Peoria on March 26 and March 27, then host the Rivermen on Friday, April 2 in a 7:00 p.m. clash at the Nutter Center.
Sunday, February 22, 2004 @ Johnstown Chiefs (2:30 p.m./ 2:15 p.m. broadcast time on WUDR-99.5 FM and www.daytonbombers.com in association with www.broadcastmonsters.com)- The Bombers are 3-3-1 against the Chiefs this season and are 1-1-1 in games played at the Cambria County War Memorial in Johnstown. The arena has returned to operation after structural damages forced Chiefs' home games earlier this month to be postponed.
Wednesday, February 25, 2004 vs. Atlantic City (7:00 p.m.)- Enjoy Happy Hour at the Ervin J. Nutter Center Bombers' game from 6-7:30 p.m. Bud Light Drafts will be available for just one dollar during this session. Fans can benefit through this great way to take a break from work. In addition, the Kettering Ice Force Skate Team will be performing in the first intermission. The Bombers will host the Boardwalk Bullies for the second and final time this season. The only previous meeting came on January 8 at the Nutter Center. The Boardwalk Bullies prevailed 5-2.

- On Tuesday, February 17, forwards Brian Ridolfi and Chad Theuer are tentatively slated to be at the Kroger at 3195 Dayton-Xenia Road in Beavercreek from 3-5 p.m. to join in the celebration of "Heroes," a theme that will be incorporated into African-American History month.
- On Tuesday, February 17, forwards Riley Cote, Janne Jokila, and Olivier Proulx are slated to visit kids at the Children's Medical Center from 2-4 p.m.
- On Tuesday, February 24, Alex Johnstone, Janne Jokila, and Bucky are slated to appear at The Mac Depot at 2025 E. Dorothy Lane in Kettering (643-2667) for an autograph signing (6-8 p.m.). Fans can get their picture taken with the Bombers' in attendance, using the latest iLife software.
