Rampage Reassign Mackenzie Weegar to Cincinnati

SAN ANTONIO (Jan. 6, 2015) - San Antonio Rampage General Manager Eric Joyce announced today that defenseman Mackenzie Weegar has been reassigned to the club's ECHL affiliate, the Cincinnati Cyclones.

Weegar has played in 19 games with the Silver and Black this season, tallying a goal and four assists. The 5-11, 207-pound rookie recorded his first pro goal in a 3-0 win over the Iowa Wild on Dec. 12.

A seventh-round pick (206th overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, Weegar spent the last two seasons with the Halifax Mooseheads (QMJHL) where he tallied 20 goals and 83 assists in 123 contests.

The Rampage face the Adirondack Flames at the Glens Falls Civic Center at 6 p.m. (CT) tonight. San Antonio returns home on Saturday, Jan. 10 against the Iowa Wild. It will be Value Night at the AT&T Center, and a package of four tickets, including hot dogs, chips and sodas, can be purchased for $40.
